Ryan went on a mountain bike road trip yesterday, so the boys and I had some fun together. A coworker(thanks Joe!) had given me a bunch of apples, so we made apple crisp and apple bread. I borrowed my boss' apple peeler thingie (thanks Kristian!) and the boys had great fun with it. They called it a robot and Brooks had fun turning the handle. Hudson loved watching it, they really thought it was the greatest thing ever.
We took a walk around our neighborhood while the goodies were baking and found a yard sale. Brooks found a Thomas Train book and a Veggie Tales book, so it was successful! After naptime we headed to Goodwill for their quarterly half price sale. Everything in the store is half price! I missed the last one because I was in Guatemala, but the one before that Jess, Dan and I hit the stores and found lots of good stuff for cheap. My mission yesterday was to find a breadmaker. My breadmaker had an unfortunate accident this past week. I dropped it while I was pulling it out of the cabinet (it bounced on the floor!) and it cracked and bent. The lid won't close anymore so it's no good. I was pretty bummed, I've had that thing as long as we've been married (9 years!) and it has been a good one. So I headed straight to the back of the store to look for a breadmaker. I came across one in the box, so I put it in my cart to take a better look at it. And that's when I noticed it was the same exact breadmaker that I had! It looks like it's only been used a few times, the pan looks new. And I only paid $7.50 for it! I looked around for some other bargains, but didn't find anything. It's harder to really bargain hunt when I have both the boys with me.

Hey Jen! Mom shared your blog link with me...I'm new to all of this. Do you get messages from random people? Is it wierd to think strangers could be following your life? Just curious. I signed up for a page...but it's a work in progress. Not sure how I feel about it yet. I too am going to be taking a photography class...but not till November. We'll have to compare notes!
Hope all is well. Kiddos are getting so big!
Love, Your cousin
